ivygourd(tindora) dry vegiie with bengal gram recipe manglore style

 

Ingredients 


•  1 cup tindora chopped, 

•  Mangalore masala not fine grinded paste(chopped onion , 

   roasted ( 5 bedige chilli, 1 table spoon coriander   seeds-1/2 table spoon mustard seeds-

   few curry leves, ½ tablespoon asafoetida together with oil) , 1 table spoon cumin seeds,

           pinch of turmeric powder ,2 or 3  garlic cloves ,1 small cup grated coconut),

• 2  Chopped onion,

• 2 Chopped tommoto 

• 2-3 green chilies 

•  ½ inch Tamarind pulp 

• 1 cup Bengal gram peas(soaked in the  water overnight )

















Method for preparation


• First was chopped tindora and washed it properly then take it into pot, 

  add chopped onion , chopped tomato , curry leaves and green chilies and  

  little tamarind pulp add water and placed on gas for cooking 

• Then wait for till tindora cooked 70% and water consumed properly till then boil white peas

          on another gas. Once it is ready that keep it aside

• Once the white peas is ready add that into yam pot where it cooked 70% the add

          prepared Mangalore masala and add leftover water of boiled Bengal gram peas and let them cook

          for 10 minutes

• Once masala separates the oil then give tadka over there

• Take a  kadai add oil into it and add ½ table spoon mustard seeds , 2-3 crushed garlic ,

          pinch of asafoetida and few curry leaves and placed over the tindora masala. Here 

          veggie is ready
