Introduction:
This is a Mangalore style vegetable curry. This is very common recipe in Mangalore we used to make
anytime this recipe contains many veggies as per your choice you can also include. This is very tasty
and with idly and dosa taste too good.it is a very healthy recipe too.
Ingredients
• bedige chili 5-6
• 2 chopped onion( some for while cooking vegetable )
• 1 tablespoon of coriander , mustard seeds , 1 table spoon of asafoetida ,
curry leaves -fry all this together with some oil
• 1 table spoon of cumin seeds
• pinch of turmeric powder
• 2-3 garlic cloves
• ½ cup grated coconut
Please grind above all the ingredients in the grinder and add water as per required .
prepare fine paste and keep it aside.
Steps for preparation
• Take cooker in that add lentil with mix vegetable or single vegetable as per your choice
along with chopped tomatoes , chopped onion.
• Tamarind pulp along with green chilies and add water then placed on gas cook for
7 whistles because of lentil .don’t add delicate vegetable
• Add after boiled lentil it depends on vegetables. once they cooked properly then add
fine prepared masala into it ,once masala separates oil then give tadka to it .
