Malabar spinach with horse gram curry(Basale-kudu saru)

 First washed Malabar spinach and cut into small pieces.
Take a bowl and add 30gm horse gram with one glass of water and keep it for 2-3 hours


Ingredients


• bedige chili 5-6

• 2 chopped onion( some for while cooking vegetable )

• 1 tablespoon of coriander , mustard seeds , 1 table spoon of asafoetida , curry leaves

          fry all this together with some oil

• 1 table spoon of cumin seeds

• pinch of turmeric powder

• 2-3 garlic cloves

• ½ cup grated coconut

• 2 chopped tomatoes


Please grind above all the ingredients  in the grinder and add water as per required.

prepare fine paste  and keep it aside.

                                                   






Steps for preparation

•  Take cooker in that add horse gram with 2 glass of water and wait till 8 whistles for

   proper cooked

•  Then filter horse gram water and keep it aside.

        •  Then take medium size tope and add chopped Malabar spinach, tomatoes , chopped onion,

           1/2 small cup tamarind water and 

           turmeric powder and salt as per required.let them cook properly.

• add horse gram water after cooked properly. then add fine prepared masala into it ,

          once masala separates oil then give tadka to it .

• for tadka required

• 2-3 garlic cloves , mustard seeds , asafoetida , curry leaves
