Patrode recipe (Aloo vada)

 Ingredients 

• 1 cup white rice(soaked in water for overnight

• 2-3 garlic cloves

        • 2-3 green chilli

• Small piece of tamarind pulp

        • pinch of turmeric powder

• 1/2 table spoon of cumin seeds

• Salt as per taste

• Arvi leaves 5-6 

• few curry leaves

        • 1/2 table spoon of mustard seeds











       


Method for Preparation


• First washed the rice and grind the rice along with garlic cloves, tamarind pulp , 

  green chilli , turmeric powder , cumin seeds and salt as per taste.make them fine

          with thick paste

• Add minimal water otherwise difficult to spread over arvi leaves

        • Then washed arvi leaves properly . 

• Then take a idly pot and add water into it for steaming .

• Then start to spread over paste on arvi leaves one by one .the way shown in photos

        • Repeat the same procedure for all the leaves.

• Once it is done and then place arvi leaves one by one in the idly pot and let them

            steam for 15-20 minutes

        • Once it is done then keep them aside and let them cool.

• Then let them take one by one and cut them into small pieces for shallow fry

• Take a kadai and add oil into it as per required

        • Once it became Medium hot then add mustard seeds wait till became start spluttering then 

  add crushed 2-3 garlic wait till it became light brown.

• Once it is done then add few curry leaves let them sauté properly then add all those pieces into it

        • Let them mix it properly and then take out. Here pathrode is ready to eat
